OUR ORGANIZATION

About Us

We are a club of about 70 members who have been business leaders and activists working together in fellowship and partnership engaging the community and enriching lives by having fun while making a positive impact on those we serve. In addition to fighting polio and aiding schoolchildren, Hollywood Rotary supports numerous charitable endeavors including the Hollywood Family YMCA; a Cub Scout Troop; Interact – a leadership program with clubs in three of our high schools; Harvest Food Drive; Pac-a-Sac lunch program; Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital; water and sanitation programs in Guatemala; and Love Our Nation, an organic gardening project for underprivileged children.

Motto

Service Above Self Mission Statement: The mission of Rotary International and its member clubs is to provide service to others, promote highest ethical standards, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its business, professional, and community leaders. The areas of Service are to our Club – Fellowship among members; Vocational – support each member’s business classification; Community and International – provide financial and “hands-on” support to needy recipients and charitable organizations; and Youth – maintain a supporting relationship with local and international youth to instill the leaders of tomorrow with the Rotary International ethics.

Vision

Hollywood Rotary and its Foundation rally around charitable endeavors that make our local and global community a better place to live. We wish to increase membership in an effort to serve those in need. We strive to enhance visibility in everything we do whether it is fighting polio worldwide, handing out dictionaries to the city’s third-graders, or awarding scholarships to high school students headed to college.
